Hello folks.

What an excellent site, this has helped me immensely with backing up DVD?s, but I have a question that I hope I may get some help with, although I am a newbie I guess this question would be better off with you advanced punters.

As I am fairly a newbie with this stuff, I am using DVD Decrypter & DVD Shrink to back up my DVD?s, both great tools & the fact that they are FREE makes them fanfriggintastic.

I would really like to cut out all the additional scenes and other kack from my movies and just leave the menu (functional) and obviously the movie ! but the authoring in DVD Shrink as good as it is will let me delete the additional scenes, but it will not leave me with a functional menu.

So does anyone know if there is any software out there as good as DVD Shrink that has authoring that will let me delete the additional scenes but leave me with a functional menu !!

Does DVD2One do this, or I was thinking of Intervisions version (can?t remember the name).

PS Go easy with the jargon as I am still a bit of a novice with this.

Welcome to AD :)

An outstanding freeware called DVD Stripper will allow you to remove whatever you want and still retain functional menus. I use it quite a bit and really like it.

It's basically a front-end for DVD Decrypter and IFOEdit so you'll need both of those. Here's a great link for the download and FAQ:
