Hello All,

How can I get Nero to burn DVD's at 1x speed? It only allows 2x and 4x. Not 1x. My writer can burn at 4x but I prefer doing it at 1x and now I had to revert to another burning program which allowed me to burn at 1X.

That's a strange one,
I have the latest Nero and it let's me burn at 1,2,4,6 or 8XSpeed.
What version Nero do you have and what dvd writer?

Sorry, didn't read your specs at the bottom.
I see you have a BTC writer. My mate bought one a few weeks ago and it wouldn't behave at all.
Go here,
http://www.drvupdate.com/
and download the liveupdate utility download.
It will automatically check your dvd writers drivers and download the latest ones

Thanks for your reply.

I'm using Nero 5. 6 is a little bit expensive in this country.
On the firmware...I'm a little bit reluctant to fiddle with the firmware since the burner is still under in warranty and I messed up my previous one this way. Guess I'm stuck for the moment.
