How DO I put Ninja Gaiden on only One DVD-R disc?

When I ftp'd the game I got about 5.3 or something Gigs and that cannot fit onto a single DVD-R 4.7 Gb. So does anybody know how to compress it to a lower size so that it can fit onto a DVD-R disc?.

Is deleting the Video files and not burning them a solution? Or does anybody know how to compress it.?
