Yeah, I'm probably asking a question that has been asked 1000 times before but I can't find the answer I am looking for. I am wanting to backup my Disney Treasures discs and I want to keep them exactly as they are now. Menus, extras, the whole bit. Normally with my backups I just preserve the film to watch and store the original for when I want to look at the extras but these I want a true duplicate. Question is how do I do that?
I have DVD Shrink, IFOedit, the 321 program, and at least 2 ripper programs. I do not however have DVD stripper. I couldn't get it to work. Is there a combo of these I can use to split the disc AND keep the menus on each disc? I also have Menu edit so I thought I would simply edit the menu on each disc so I could only access the various chapters on each disc. I have done this with some my other disney titles but with them all I had to do was put the film on 1 disc and the extras on the second. real easy. These aren't that simple. Titles like The Chronological Donald or Mickey Vol. 2 won't split that simpily. I'll need to do more. Any guides or anything that could show me how to split these titles and keep the menus in tact so I could then take the menus into menu edit and modify them? Thanks, and sorry for asking something that has probably been answered 100 times.

You can probably do this with free tools, including at least one you already have (IfoEdit), but depending on the complexity of the discs (and Disney DVDs can be pretty complex), it may require a lot of reading and experimenting. You could look through the guides listed here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=435b995d300db9780470c1eb20632aa5&threadid=43142 to see what might be involved.

If you want to make it easier, and you can't do it with DVD Stripper (I've run across quite a few things that Stripper has problems with), I'd recommend DVD Remake or DVD Remake Pro. They're from the same company as MenuEdit (Dimadsoft) and you can check them out at http://www.dimadsoft.com/products.php There's a demo version available so you can check out the interface, but you can't actually export your DVD (remake it). It does at least give you a feel for using the program. If you want more information about that I'd recommend checking out Dimadsoft's forums http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/index.php?c=10

Dimad is also known to check this board periodically to see if he can help out (did I mention the support is great) and he'll no doubt add something to this if he happens to stop by.
