Greetings.. I have read through various threads and have largely the jist of things of making backups, however a couple questions remain..

I have noted that swapmagic has various versions bundled with various tools to change the disc without an eject. I've also noted that swapmagic reportedly has issues with V9 PS2 versions. Is there any info or thread that I oeverlooked that details swapmagic compatability with what versions of it, and which PS2 revisions?

Also, to be sure, using swapmagic does not need a modchip, solderless or otherwise, but may not work with all games??

While this is perhaps a pie in the sky question, is it clear as to exactly what is done on an "original" PS2 disc that cannot be replicated in a backup that causes the need for all the software or hardware mods to work with a copy of a disc? thanks for any feedback...
