Is there any way to play CD backups on a V9 using SM?

I have a V9(50001) model ps2. I use swap magic 2.0 (cd and DVD) my dvd backups work but the cd ones dont. Should i get sawp magic cd version 3.0 or 3.2, can anyone confirme that it loads cd backup games? I know that the cd backups are burned correctly because they have worked on a V7 ps2.Thanks for any advice;]
