Is their a way to play backup'd games without a mod chip?

swap magic is a boot disc. You load this, then use the fliptop to swap for a backup. You cannot use the eject button because then the ps2 will check and see you inserted a backup, hence the use of a fliptop. Http://www.ps2cover.com has them for sale and a little more info about it.

If you have a version 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 console you will see 8 screw covers underneath it as shown below. Our PS2Covers fit GREAT on these consoles!
I have 8 screw covers so Im all set right? Thanks for all the help

version 4-10 all have 8 screws. how new is your ps2?

not very new, ive had it for a long time. im not sure so im not gonna guess, but im pretty sure its v4-8 based on the 8 screw covers
