Hello everyone ...i have just tried to back up a ps2 game using DVD decripter but have noticed it has copied 2 files there is an ISO file and also a .MDS file please could someone tell me which one of these i have to burn to disc? ...thanx

it really doesn't matter, burn the iso. if you are running fat32 filesystem, with games over 4gigs, you would burn the .mds.

sorry all new to this...how do i know if i am running a fat32? also I read on other message boards about a LOADER? what is this all about? thanx mark

go to my computer, then right click c drive select properties, then go to general tab, there will be a area that says file system, it should say either NTFS, FAT, or FAT 32.

You want NTFS because it doesnt limit how large the file can be, where FAT 32 can only handle 4 gig files, and some games are larger than that.

the loader is a program that will allow you to copy games onto a maxtor harddrive installed into the playstation, game access is fastr and you can play backups, i think, but i dont have one so some one else will have to jump in and answer that.

so do you need one to play copied games or can you still play as normal as long as your ps2 is chipped?

you need a chip to play backup games or you need swap disk and slide card. i have a chip and can play imports and backups. i do not have a hdd loader.
