ok i have looked everything up and think that im going to get the flip top over the slide card but i have never opened any systems and am really afraid i will mess up, if anybody can help me with my decision.

i had a version 9 ps2 and i have no problem installing a flip top, it took me about 15 mins and it works great. and i didn't have any experiences before i get the flip top

Thanks, Everything looks easy up untill the part were you have to remove the reset/eject buttonunit that and puuting it in the new flip top is the only step im woorried about.

The new v9/v10 version does not have that ribbon attached to the eject/reset button. All you have to do is unscrew the 8 screws and remove the top cover. Once the top cover is remove unscrew the 2 (not 4 screws) and pry open the back sides to pop out the white disk holder.
