Going from DVD-R to DVD+R.....

Ive recently dusted off my ps2 and discovered it will NOT play any DVD-R backed up movies ive made. My friend's DVD+Rs work great in it and I was wondering if I can just copy my already burned 4.7G DVD-R movies directly to 4.7 DVD+R discs or will I have to re-encode/decode/& burn new backups from the original Dual Layer DVD movies all over? FYI im using AnyDvd with CloneDVD for software & Dynex(Best Buy house brand) discs -R & +R.

Hi,

You should be able to do a straight disc-to-disc copy with any regular burning software such as Nero or RecordNow :)

I was hoping it would be that easy. What is it that DVD+R's have that DVD-R's don't, that make them readable in PS2s?

-R and +R are just structured a bit different. I'm not sure why the PS2 has a preference for +R.
