Hi all :)
Newbie here, this is my first post, hope I've got
the right forum & everything :)
(I'm hoping that someone might have some helpful hints for me :) )
I've gotten a Sony DVD Recorder (RDR-GX7), and I've gotten as far as getting the cords all connected according to the "Quick Start Guide", (using the TV with a Digital Cable Box info), but when I got to the "Step Two" of the "Guided Setup", I came upon
some trouble as my Television does NOT have an
"Input Selector" :(
I tried to see if my TV would show the "Easy Setup" Menu on the screen, but nothing :(
I tried to play a DVD to see if that would show up on my TV, and nothing :(
All I see on my TV is the channels that are broadcasting from my Digital Cable Box.
Since I previously had a VCR hooked up to this TV, I tried the same things that would get the VCR Menu to appear on my TV, (it had a TV/Video button that I clicked on), so I tried to click on the TV/Video button on my DVD Recorder, and nothing happened, not even a light lit up on the front of the
DVD Recorder or anything.....
I also tried to change the Channel Display on the front of my DVD Recorder from "1" to "3", (or to any other channel), & it wouldn't do anything either :(
So then I thought that perhaps the batteries in the Remote control for the DVD Recorder were old, so I replaced them with brand new ones and tried again, but the only things I can get the Remote to do is turn the Power off and on, and to Open & Close the Disc drawer.
Any help would be much appreciated :)
