This problem has been mentioned before in the forums, however, many people have been saying that the problem is with cheap DVD blanks.
I know this is not a problem in my case because i have burnt DVD ps2 games in the past successfully with dvd-decrypter in the past.

could this be fixed by changing the i/o interface? right now, it's set to something like microsoft. i've heard of aspi before, but i'm not sure what it is. does anybody know what the problem is?

Thanks in advance!

here is the entire error message that pops up in dvd-decrypter:

thanks for the quick response.

the discs im using are DVD-R. i'm not sure about the brand name. i know i should really get something like ritek though right?

i've also visited the force aspi site. i'm not sure what it really is. but do you think switching to the aspi i/o interface would solve my dilemma?

you said you have succesfully burnt backups in the past with your setup so would recomend they you try some different dvdr discs first, then if that does not solve the problem try the aspi solution
