OK. I have a DVDR75 and a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3250HD with a firewire out. From the diagnostic screen of the HD box, I can see the Phillips DVDR when it is connected to the firewire. The Phillips gives me a no signal on the CAM2 input unless I connect a camcorder. Then, it lights up just fine.
Anyone have any ideas? I know my cable provider transmits in 1394i or e. They weren't sure which.
