Thanks, I just got my HD Loader today from consolesource.com.
I installed GTA3 and it worked great. I couldn't believe how fast it loads off the HD. I will try NCAA 2005 sometime this week.

Try this site for games that work with HD Loader:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/casey.miller/HD%20Loader%20Compatibility.htm

I got live 2004 and NBA Street 2 to work no prob.

Oh, and if you want to contribute, go for it. Lets find out what our HD loaders can handle.

I tried HD loader advanced and it still does not work. Can you please give detailed instructions on how to get madden 2005 to work with a loader.

Sure. I haven't specifically used Madden 2005, but NBA ballers had the same mode to enable it.

Oh, and I have Hd Loader but its pretty much the same as HD Advance.

Load the game on your HD, after complete, go to Madden on your list. Press the select button. A new screen pops up saying mode 1, 2, and 3. Arrow down to mode 3 and enable it. Press X and the PS2 should load the game. You will only need to enable this mode once as the hdd remembers your last settings.

Enabling the Compatiblity Mode works for Madden 2004 but it does not copy Madden 2005 to the drive. It says it has errors while copying. I have used 4 different PS2 units and have cleand all of them and replaced 2 lasers and still cannot run it off of the Hard Drive. If DVD9 is indeed the format of the game the laser should read on the PS2. So the question is why does it not support it. Is there a loader out there that does not require a boot dsik of any type, or is there a loader out there that can uses a normal non-pressed cd or dvd to boot a PS2. I challenge anyone that is a PS2 finatic to find one and let the world know of it.

The Collector's edition, with all the extra movies and stuff, that's DVD-9 and doesn't work. The regular version is like most EA Sports games, just enable Mode 3 to get it working.

I flawlessly run NCAA 2005 and Madden 2005 with HDLoader.

I have both the regular and the collectors edition copied to my hard drive and they both play flawlessly with mode 3 enabled.

at hd loader screen highlight game then press select. then select mode 3 then press select again. you should then be able to play ea games. if you are haveing trouble loading the games create .iso file on hard drive then use handiness, which is a program that copies iso from pc hdd to ps2 hdd. there are guides do a search for that.

bizzle, how did you get madden collectors to work? hd loader will only read 1 layer and give black screen instead of loading. i am curious if you used handiness to do it.?

How do you enable mode 3? Do you load game first or do you have to do this before you load the game.

On my screen, I have the game names on the left. When I move to the right to the toolbar menu, the only options I have are play, install, rename, remove.

These are the same options before and after I load games. I just received my hdloader disk today. The games that I loaded that don't need mode 3 are launching just fine. I just can't seem to set up mode 3.

HD loader is the original on my cd-rom. HD advance is a hacked version of HD loader that claims to be better because it has a larger TOC split between 2 discs, a cd-rom for cd games, and a dvd rom for dvd games.

HD Loader works great for me. Have no experience with HD advance.
