Hey I've recently purchased the swap magic 2.0 and slide tool, my problem is the slide tool is f*%#ing hard to use (the instructions tell me nothing on how to use it). I just can not use the tool to make the disk tray come out, it just does'nt budge. Anyway can someone please help me with some usefull detailed instructions (preferably lots of pics) on how to use this tool. Thanks

hey i just got my swapmagic and slide card,it's not that hard to use.just take the card with the hook to the right, put the card in in the middle or a little to the left, and push to the right,u will feel a little something thats the piece u push to the right and the door will come out a little.just enough to pull it out.take out the swapmagic and put in ur backup game push the door back close with finger, then put slide card in but this time to the right.and u will catch the piece that the hook use.and pull to the left now to make sure the door is locked again.press the x botton and u will see blue come around the sreen of ur tv,and the game will start.sorry i don't have pictures.i hope this work for u.

I too am havin problems with this darned thing. Anyway thanks mate for the info I will try what you just mentioned. Thanks alot mate. I just did it the little hook on the card must move the little tray stopper and you must slide it to the right and then pull back the tray because now it is "Released" and then put in the back-up. Using the little hook move the slidey thingy back into place as if you did not open the tray to begin with.

Oh and yes I have to say that those instructions are sure as heck confusing they got me a all confuseled.

yeah, not a bad price for bad media. Try better media like ritek or verbatim and it will probably work.

I have recently recieved my Slide Card combo, after 10mins of trying to get it to work (inserting the slide card with the hook to the LEFT) i came here looking for help, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to odb 992001, you helped me so much, now to save money :)

To backup games I do the following.

Insert ORIGINAL into my Sony DVD-Rom Drive.
Insert BLANK DVD-R (Datawrite 4x) into Sony DVD-R/RW Drive.
Load up Nero Burner 6 SmartStep.
Select DVD option.
Select Copy Disc.
Configure my settings appropriatly.
BURN!!

No, I have all the games on my HD so I can re-burn them if I need to, i see no need for originals if you have the game backed up anyway, it's like owning the game twice, the same with music...
Piracy laws are flawed on this anyway, plus they are very relaxed where I live. People sell copied games/DVDs here and the police couldn't care less, but I don't fancy selling stuff, that really is making the companies lose money.
