I'm real new to burning PS2 games, but this site was very helpful in getting my started with burning regular dvd's so im sure all you guys can help out. Do i need to have a modded PS2 to play burnt games on it. Also, what software do you recommend to burn PS2 games with for an un-modded PS2?

to play dvdr backup's of ps2 games your ps2 has to be modded with either a solder in no swap mod chip or you could use the swapmagic boot discs in conjunction with the flip top or slide card
for burning software DVD Decrypter,Nero,record now and Alcohol 120 all work well, for tutorial on how to use these softwares check ourt this thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/15105
