i realise this may be a bit cheeky, but is there any way of backing up an hdloader disc? - since they are £20 quid a pop, would be a pain to load all games to hard drive, only for the original hdloader disc to get scratched

i don't think a straight backup of hdloader works. you need the cracked version, theres a link somewhere around here for it.
