Hello there, I have a V10 ps2 which is the + model and have just installed a magic pro chip. I will only be using the ps2 to play backups and according to the instalation instructions this can be done by only soldering 4 wires the S,reset, ground and the v5 wires i have done this and all i get from the ps2 when trying to play a backup is please insert a ps2 disc etc. the console will still play ps2 originals which it's not supost to. does this mean i have a faulty chip. or is the + model ps2 somehow different? I done it this way as i did not fancy soldering wires onto chip legs ( i am not bad at soldering ) but how do they expect you to solder onto those things. can anybody give me some advice on what i should do? if i have the right chip? if the ps2 + model is different? thanx
