I just bought a fliptop and swapmagic disks but ive yet to get a backup working. I have a version 1 PS2 and have read through most of the posts so I have the basic idea of what to do.
The game in question is spiderman 2.
Ive been using Memorex 8x dvd-r and the slowest I can burn on is 2x.
Ive tried it normally with swapmagic, ive tried with cdloader, I tried the game how it was from ripping it, Ive tried patching the disk then burning it.
Out of 30 or so tries it loaded once. I waited 15 minutes for the game to load and the opening was choppy and extremely slow and when it got to the game it showed everything on the screen except for spiderman himself and the game wouldnt respond at all.
1. memorex is not highly recommended around here, and ps2 might have troubles with 8x media.
2. what program are you using to rip and burn?
3. i'd try a different game, a lot of people are having problems with that one.
