Sorry if this problem has come up before. I really doubt it, i searched forever and mine doesn't seem as common. I have a no solder v4 chip. My problem is loading DVD-R's. I have loaded a CD-R of a backup less than 650 mb once and from what I've read, 80 min games won't run on CD-Rs with a no solder. All DVD-R's should run with it though right? I've never gotten a DVD-R to work successfully so I might not be burning them correctly. I'm pretty sure I am though, I use RecordNowMax and it seemed to burn Gran Turismo 4 Prologue (PAL) just fine after testing and burning. It came out to be only 701 MB too. This is how I tried loading it.
1. Loaded up GameShark 2 to title.
2. Opened the CD Tray normally and replaced the GS2 cd with my original DVD (Tekken 4) and pressed the eject button again normally to close.
3. I went to load without codes to the screen where it tells you to insert your game and press X.
4. I held the eject button until the tray came out and replaced with my DVD-R Backup. (GT4 Prologue PAL)
5. The tray automatically closed and when the light went from orange to green I pressed X.
After that, it stayed at that screen and nothing happened. I don't know why it doesn't load. I think it's one of many things.
1. I didn't burn it correctly.
2. The backup is PAL.
3. I'm not following the directions correctly.
4. Tekken 4's TOC isn't big enough and shouldn't be used as the original DVD.
5. Shoul I replace Gameshark2 with a Swap Magic disk??
I've tried so many times and haven't come up with a solution. I'd really appreciate some help here.
