Burning Speeds vs Disc Speeds Question

Does anyone know if you have to use the same speed disc that you are burning at? I other words, do you have to use a 2x disc when burning at 2x or can you use any disk?

Also, What is the best speed to burn a PS2 game? I am assuming the lower the better.

it depends.. look at the media, it will say what speeds it can burn at.

you can burn a disc at any speed up to its max. So if you have 4x discs you can burn at 1-4x (except for +r, 2.4 is the slowest you can burn). I use 4x media and burn ps2 games a 2x with no problems. The most important thing is to use GOOD quality media.
