Looking through the forums, I noticed that numerous people were unable to get a backup of Freedom Fighters working [with swap magic and cdloader and fliptop]... so that kind of discouraged me from backing up my copy of FF.

However, at my first attempt, I got it to work, and it is running 100% perfectly. I will explain, in detail, how I did this.

1. I downloaded CDLoader from www.swapmagicfix.com. I burned CDLoader on cd-r with nero-- I simply opened the .cue file in nero, burned it in DAO 4x.

2. I popped in my Freedom Fighters original dvd in my drive, opened dvd decryptor and ripped the iso.

3. Then, I wrote the iso image with dvd decryptor at 1x. The media that I used was Maxell DVD-R.

4. I booted the game like this:

a) First, I put in my Swap Magic 2.0 CD version. At the "insert disk" prompt, I swapped it with my CDLoader cd-r (using my fliptop cover).

b) Then, without touching any of the options or anything in CDloader, I pressed eject, inserted my Swap Magic 2.0 DVD version, and pressed X.

c) Finally...at the next prompt, I swapped the swap magic dvd with my backup dvd-r.

Everything loaded properly and every level so far is 100% Perfect!!

I haven't tried not using cdloader, but i doubt it will work without cdloader. If you are still having problems, I would suggest using the BETA5 option in cdloader.
