ok, so got hold of cheeky hdloader version - its about 220mb, however after burning to cd, no joy in ps2.
- doesn't recognize the disc.

any ideas?

alas, no, have been using fliptop lid which works fine.

yes you will need to use swapmagic to boot your backup also think you will need to use cd loader as well

alas, no, using v7 all from the swapmagicfix site - this could be where i am going wrong! cheers!

however, this sounds like a pain, if every time i want to start to the ps2 to run games from the hdd, i have to run through this palava...

i was under the assumption that the hdloader disc would work straight away (should it be a 225mb cd or dvd?)

only the orignal pressed version of hd loader will self boot and 225 mb seems about right for cd
