I just got the Hdloader and installed my Maxtor 120gig 7200rpm drive 6Y120PO..I get this message : Hdloader cannot detect a hard disk drive. i have checked the jumper numerous times made sure everything has been installed properly and i still get the error..Any help on this would be greatly appreciated..

also noticed the hdd was pretty hot when i pulled it back out(left it in there for while)..TIA

you said you checked the jumpers, did you try changing the setting?

I had it on master then i tried setting it to CS and no jumper and still got the error..When you said setting did you mean the jumpers or something else?? My playstation is Unmodded and i got it last december it came with the network adapter. I dont know if i should try a different HDD. Do you think i recieved a bad HDLoader.

thats what i meant, trying cable select. if you can get ahold of another hd to try that would narrow down the problem a lot (it can be any size hd).

I had a 40gig maxtor i used and it worked, it is probably a problem with the HDD..Thanks for the help..
