G'day there guys!
Could anyone give me the name of a good audio converter to convert any which way e.g wav to mp3, mp3 to wav etc.

any comments welcome, Cheers!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I use CDex - rips CDs & converts mp3 to wav & vice versa

Try to do a search on the site about this before posting. There are tons of posts regarding this. For example, look at the top of this forum and you will see

"List of recommended LAME MP3 encoder settings - the highest quality MP3 encoder. "

That said, Exact Audio Copy (EAC) using the lame.exe encoder is the best way to go.

Tough to beat CDex
http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/
You can get the latest LAME codec and copy the lame_enc.dll into CDex directory, to make MP3s.
I always recommend Highest Quality (Q=0) for encoding compressed audio files :-)
