How do I eliminate Widescreen /Fullscreen menu

Can anybody tell me how to get rid of the widescreen/fullscreen selection part of a menu and just get the player to start the version of VOB's I left on the disk. This disk (Van Wilder) uses animated menus and, my guess is, subpicture indicators for selection (since I can't find any of the little arrows and stars in the VOB's). I'm trying to leave chapter and audio selection in and redirect screen size to only play WS. If I select the wrong one now (without corresponding VOB's) player locks up. Got any ideas? Thanks!
