I just backed up a copy of onimusha 3. The weird thing is that it is listed on the fix list @ swapmagicfix.com. When I did the slide card procedure with my DVD version, it worked perfect. I tried it numerous times and still flawless. Its good news. I have V7 PS2. Maybe Onimusha 3 doesn't need CD loader. Any info on this would be helpful

If I were you I'd consider that swapmagicfix list an advisory sort of list. If the game doesn't work, then try it with that fix. I'm going to be trying my Mega Man X7 backup which claims to need a fix, and I will soon find out if it actually does.

Update: Mega Man X7 booted fine with no fix.

It's possible there are multipule revisions of the same game out there. Forinstance there are atleast 2 Mortal Kombat Trilogy versions for PSX. Perhaps ones needs a fix and the other doesn't. I have however noticed Soul Calibur 2 is on the list, and it indeed won't boot. So I thought, time to use the CD loader... but how? How can you get to the options menu to pick out which fix to use? I don't quite understand the process really.

If you don't change CD and just hit X, it loads you to that selection/options menu. But at this point, you can't switch to DVDs now, can you? Because you are supposed to put in swap magic dvd at the previous menu if you are using DVD.

If anyone understands what to do, I'd appreciate knowing.
