I got a chip in my ps2 and i need to swap discs with a DVDXREGION cd for a ps2 in order to play my burned ps2 games (which are on a cd-r 800mb)i got those games with the ps2 when i bought it,

i tried burning ps2 games but non work (on a arita 4x DVD+)

with veritas and GamesXCopy ?

I have a PS2 with a chip a boot cd and a dvd writer that's all i need isn't it but how do i use it ?

Renting games and burning them to keep is piracy and against forum rules.

I'm still trying to figure out a few things here. Are you having trouble backing up CD based games, DVD based games, or both. Does one type work for you and not the other. You also mentioned DVD+R media, what version PS2 do you have? Most older versions do not play +R media. Still need to know what make/model modchip you have. This is extremely important. How long ago did you have it installed? If you don't know what mod you have maybe that'll narrow it down a little. Are you using a swap method to boot? If so, you need Swap Magic discs. DVDXRegion is for DVD movies.

Okay i dont know which chip i have :( i know i have several burned ps2 games ON CDR which work with the boot cd DVDXREGION but when i burn a PS2 game with alchol 120% which burns succesfully (on a DVD) and i try to play the game THE SAME WAY AS I DO WITH MY BURNED PS2 GAMES ON CD-R that it doesn't work i can try burning with a cd-r and hope that works there is got to be a way to burn a ps2 game on a dvd that i can play i cant burn a dvd original ps2 game on a cd-r :(

Ok lets clarify a few things: DVDXREGION does not enable your PS2 to play backups. It is not a boot disc for PS2 software. It is solely for playing imported DVD movies on your PS2. Try playing your CD based backups you have without DVDXREGION. Power on the PS2 with one of them in the drive and see if it starts. If so, it's your chip that is booting them up.
