CTR-GCS works great for saving/loading save games to your computer.

Kudos to CrowTRobo for making this great little tool.
I've had difficulties running all the GUIs created for it, best results (and perfect results at that) I found by using ctr-gcs at the command line, along with psul to upload the dol.
Once I bought a second hand 4mb Nintendo (needs to be name-brand [or at least uncompressed]) memory card, I backed up all my important save games after copying them over on the GC from my third party 16mb card, and loaded on a save for Harvest Moon, which lets me start the game, and one for Metroid Prime (cause I was having hanging problems when it tried to make a save).
Tools shouldn't be hard to find, if this interests you, hit google.

For some reason, I couldn't use his program for a while. All I had was this screen on my TV that said "not connected." I ended up finding this French program I use in windows that allows me to download/upload my gamesaves. It works great, i've been making good use out of it since I only have 2 59block memory cards, and Beyond Good & Evil and Animal Crossing take up all my space automatically. (so I just store them on my computer till I want to play them.
(i'm still using CrowTRobo's software, but the French program makes it easier)

The french program is actually just a front-end for ctr-gts
And the not connected you're seeing is normal, after that you have to run the ctr-gts.exe with command line options to do things:
ie:
ctr-gts -l B
will list all the files in the B slot
and
ctr-gts -r B harvestmoon.gci
will upload harvestmoon.gci into the B slot.

It will always say disconnected until ctr-gcs talks to it...
IE: It uploads the code with psul... says disconnected..
then you run ctr-gcs -l B
the TV should briefly say that ctr-gcs connects, then disconnected again...
it saying "disconnected" is the first step, then you have to make sure the ips are configured right with ctr-gcs, run ctr-gcs without any options, it will tell you the config option.
