PC-DVDROM not reading PS2 games?

I'm trying to rip an image of my original Xenosaga.. but my PC DVD-ROM won't even read the Xenosaga DVD! (My DVD-ROM is a Toshiba MD-1502, btw). In the tutorial I'm using the first picture shows DVD Decrypter ripping the game to an .iso file.. but on mine, all I see is "Unknown" for label/region/etc and my DVD-ROM's light is still lit as 'busy'.

I tried FFX and it will read but it wouldn't read FFX-2.. what's going on =(

What dvd-burner do you have? Xenosaga is a dvd9 game so this may be why it isnt reading in your pc.

It's just a DVD-ROM.. Toshiba MD-1502
If I need a DVD burner to be able to read it, I'll see if my dad's laptop can

Sorry i didnt read your 1st post correctly. You can use a dvd-rom to read it but only some dvd-roms will read dvd-9.Lok in your manual and see if it is able to read dvd-9.
