You have an older version of Nero 6, so you should upgrade to the latest from our webiste and see if you still get the 'Power Calibration' error message.

I notice the log file shows that you are 'Continueing a Multisession' write. Does this mean the first write was succesful? Or are you adding to a CD that was written to by another recorder, or one that you wrote too a few weeks or months ago?

The 'Power Calibration' error can be caused by a number of possible variables.

For Example:

1) Poor Media
2) Old firmware (not an issue for you)
3) Old software ( You do need to upgrade Nero)
4) Poor Power to the recorder
5) Driver Conflicts ( don't see any obvious ones listed in your log file)
6) Old drivers for your IDE Controller
7) A recorder in need of service (Optical head out of alignment)

etc....

Craig

I do have the newest version installed, and I believe this is when zI started having problems, it only accurs after I use Nero to do a multi session burn, the first burn does ok, but when I try to add more stuff later I get this fixation error.

The log file you provided indicates you have Nero 6.3.0.2, and the version we currently have posted on our website is Nero 6.3.1.17

So either you provided us with the wrong Nero log file, or you do not have the latest version of Nero available.

Regards,

Craig

sorry, I do have the newest version, the log file is when I uninstalled Nero and put the old copy on, and tried Nero, it still gave me the fixation error, so I upgraded to the 6.17 version and still get these error. I used Nero clean tool to try to get everything out of my system before reinstalling, but nothing is working.

Latest Firmware for your Yamaha burner is 1.0g dated
May 23,2003.
Try -->: http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/product/computer/index.html and click the Download button --> then firmware.

Although Craig is the expert on this and mentions in 2)
Old firmware (not an issue for you) -- I have heard of some Yamaha burner acting up with newer burning software package.

Good Luck !
