Disc will no longer spin after replacing laser - PS2 Slim

I just replaced my PVR-802W laser in my ps2 slim, and now it won't spin the discs anymore. When I turn the slim on, the laser will move to the center of the disc and blink, then not move. If I go to the browser, it will show "reading disc" for a split second, then it'll go away, as if the ps2 didn't know there was a disc in there.

The edit button is a little txt icon with pencil at top right of your post.

I discovered that there seemed to be two points, or at least, one was rather messy so i cleaned it up, and it worked.
