Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here. I just join here to gather some advice and info to fix my PS2 fat. Once, it is working and great unit until one day, I am not able to turn it ON. There is still a RED light indication from the power/reset button but nothing happen if you press it. It's only red light as is. Then I made my decission to open my ps2, with some info that i have searched about the problem. I discovered that the power ribbon is troubled but when i put in some angle I can turn my ps2 power ON and there's a green light now. I thought that I have to reinsert the ribbon to fix it but then, suddenly when I'm trying to put or insert the ribbon end to the power/reset slot, something pecular happend. The light indicator become ORANGE, fading until the light is out and I cannot do something again to regain the green one... What did I done wrong and how do I fix it? Thank you for someone kind hearted that can answer my problem.
