PS2 Slim laser fine disk won't spin

I didn't use my PS2 slim for a while. When I tried to run a game, The laser would move and light up but the motor won't spin to move to disk round. The PS2 is unmodded but has been opened. Is the motor broken? or a cable disconected? The motor is totally dead.
