connect the ps2 up to the tv, but keep getting message no signal, i know that where i have it connected is working is there a way to check if something has blown inside the console. the console was working, i have tried putting the third slim tool in earlier im wondering if this can do some damage that could be causing the console to stop working thanks for any help

You should still have signal even if the third slim tool was not in place properly.
To tell if you placed it properly, you should be able to start up with a disc in.
Once playing, lift the lid to see if the disc still spin. If the disc still spins, your tools are placed properly.
Do you have another tv you can try connecting to. Since I don't know your tv, do you have the proper setting on the tv.
