Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can help me diagnose my problem here. I recently chipped my ps2 v9 model with a Chip Mod Pro 2.0, along with what they call the "romeo" mod... After putting all things back together, it booted up and I even got the "chip mod" logo on the boot and I was able to edit the functions. After all this, I was never able to get the tray to eject.

I'm trying to figure out what would be the cause of this... My eject ribbon cable was not broken, although the actual pins themselves look a little marked. I will attach a picture. On the LA6508 chip that you do the romeo mod on, pin 17 actual broke off and I had to scratch down the actual covering of the chip to expose the "nub" to get a secure connection with the wire.

I'm not wanting to just go ahead and invest in a new motherboard if that's not what could be causing the issue... Could anyone fill me in on what parts of the board control the opening / closing of the tray (could it be the LA chip?)... I've removed the chip, and it still has the same problem. The blue light DOES turn on and blink on boot / press. Any help much appreciated guys.
