How to play downloaded .iso games on the newest PS2

Hi,
I just downloaded a PS2 game from torrentz. It was only in .iso format. I burnt it several times using both Nero burning ROM and DVD decrypter on almost every possible speeds i.e 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x but even after wasting 6 blank DVD+R's I am unable to play the game on my PS2. Of Course, my PS2 is modded. Any assistance would be welcome.

have you played other backups on your ps2 before? modded how? if mod-chip which brand/model?
and which model of ps2? phat or slim
