Ok, here's the problem: I recently decided to mod one of my ps2's but every time I try and play a backup I get the "Please insert a PS2 format disk", here's my preocess:
System - PS2(scph 70012)
Mods - Swap Magic Plus Coder v3.8, Magic Switch Pro v4(Tools a,b,& c installed)
Burning Software - DVD Decrypter, Clone CD Burning Media - Memorex 16x
Burning Speed - 4x
I can boot up into Swap Magic Coder, it comes up with 4 choices; Normal, Special, SMBoot, and Cheats. I've chosen normal and also special. I put my backup in and push X, I then choose NTSC and push X. Now if I'm using Normal, the disk starts to spin and I get the message booting from dvd, then the screen goes to the memory card screen for a sec and then the red screen comes up asking for a ps2 format disk. Now if I use the special option, everything happens the same except for after swap magic says booting from dvd, the screen goes black and stays black, it doesn't lock up as I can still turn the analog on and off on the controller.
I've read that I should change the book type to DVD-Rom in DVD decrypter but when I go into the setting it gives me about 8 different drives and neither allow me to change the book type.
