Can a DVD Drive read PS2 disks?

I tried inserting a PS2 disk into my PC DVD drive but all's it does is stalls and resets.....this happens with most games but one....WWE Smackdown 2006.....

for some reason every other game is rejected :(.......


btw my DVD drive is a Sony DVD-RW AWG540A

the software im using (if software is to blame) is Roxio, Daemon Tools Lite and DVD decrypter.....none work...

I tried a software provided here called IMGburn but when I switch it to "READ" mode it gives me something called an "I/O error"

Nevermind it is my hardware, My Sony DVD RW was no match against my dad's Samsung in his Desktop.....that thing blasted through every disk cleanly......
