Can you use this to go backwards like to 3.71m33 from 4.01m33 or 5.00m33? Does anyone know if Hellcat's CFW Recovery Flasher will downgrade 4.01m33 or 5.00m33?

Trying to run a SNES EMU. It says i need to have a 3.xx or 4.xx kernel. Doesn't the 5.xx have all those updates in it so I shouldn't have to switch back?
When I go to recovery and switch the kernel, I only have 1.50 or 5.00. What do I need to do?
Thanks!

Guys... i'm currently having CFW 3.80 M33-5 & trying to update to 5.00M33.
My Kernel is at 3.80
When i tried to run the 5.00 update, it has this error "Incorrect File"
I had already formatted my mem stick & also change to another mem stick but it still had this error.
Any idea what is wrong?
Or is there any setting i need to do at the recovery menu?
My CPU speed is under (default)
Thanks a bunch

guys, i followed this guide, upgraded from 3.71 M33-4 to 5.0 M33-4, at the 5.0 M33 stage, after install it says "setting info is corrupted, press O to repair and restore default setting". i know this error is not important since its just our personal setting info.....
i reformatted the MS, put in patapon2.cso and Rock band unplugged.iso to try if its working correctly, but both game failed to launch. it says "game could not be started". i remember there is some hidden menu setting, but i forgot how to enter it.

Hi all,
Awesome guide and CFW I have installed up to 5.00 M33-4(latest). I also installed the 1.5 kernel to suit 5.00 as I am running a Phat PSP.
One question I have is for older games like PES5 and MVP baseball iso's saved on Memory stick under ISO folder do I need to do anything to run these as they don't seem to show under game menu>memory stick. My other "newer" games seem to be there like PES2009 etc.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
JK

Dear larrylje. I have updated my psp to 3.71 m33-4 from 3.71 m33, and now when I try to update it any further (3.80/3.90.../5.00) I get corrupted data file instead of the one which would allowe me to update. I checked and I am capable of playing few games. From there on i spend a good 3 hours tryign to figure out what I did wrong, but can not solve it. If you (or anyone) have any ideas what I am doing wrong I would be really glad to hear them.
Thanks in advance!

Ok, I have a phat 3.71 M33-2 PSP and I just downloaded both files and got the PSP folder and 150.PB onto my memory stick.
After I went to the Memory Stick on the game menu but there was no Mux program or anything like that, only a 5.51 firmware update that I had tried to download from the network update before.
Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Having some trouble guys...
I have 3.71 M33-2 cfw.
Got all the downloaded files into the ROOT, ran the MUX update and chose 3.8 M33. Then went to the game menu and looked for the 3.8 update but all I found was 1.50 kernel Addon for 3.80 and when I try to run it it says I need 3.8 M33 firmware.
I also have 2 corrupt data, some addons, and 1 update in there. Might those be the 3.8 and 3.9 updates? What do I have to do to get them uncorrupted (or w/e)?

Sounds like a memory stick issue. If you have not reformatted, do so now. If you still have issues after that, and you are following the instructions correctly, you may want to try a different memory stick. Hope that has helped.
Note: the update in the game menu should say "PSP UPDATE ver 3.80"
