Hi Larrylje,

Thanks for your guide. I had created the Pandora Battery + MMS. No Issues here. Thanks.

1) I had update to my FAT psp from CFW 4.01 M33 to CFW 5.00 M33 --> 5.00 M33-3 + 1.50 ADD ON. After update, my PSP had text entry problem - For Nickname editing and Web address text entry. When enter edit mode for test entry, the page just flickering as if some button had been stucked (I suspect to be the SELECT button).

I use the Pandora + MMS, enter service mode amd select [X] and re-load my PSP to CFW 3.71 M33-2. everthing back to normal. But when I update the version to CFW 4.01 M33 --> CFW 4.01 M33-2, the same problem happens.

I decide to re-laod to CFW 3.71 M33-2 using the Pandora Battery + MMS. But this time, the same text entry problem happen after I had reload to CFW 3.71 M33-2.

Do you had any solutions to help me out here or please provide me some link that I can solve this problem. I am unable to surf the web or enter text. But I am able to play the Games from the MS. Had not try video or Music yet.

2) By the way, what is the usage for 1.50 ADD ON? what does it do or it is neccessory?

3) During a game, when I press HOME button to exit, the message that pop up and ask if you would like to exit, Yes or No? I able also unable to select any as all the buttons become dead. It this normal?

I had read through a few thread here but is unable to find a solution. please help or direct me on the above 3 issues. Thanks a lot.

If you need it download WinRar - 7zip should also extract it.

NO, you can't use the Datel Pandora Battery like a Standard PSP battery.

You will have to purchase another battery to use as Normal.

If you read the guide (hint - first post on page 1) I think you'll find your answers.

it said on the guide that "There are new motherboard's out their (on SLIM PSP's) that can not be flashed at this time (including using Pandora & MMS) those PSP syatems have 4.00+ out of the box." If i have a 5.02 version Slim PSP, then will it still work?

Well since 5.02 is higher then 4.00 it is very doubtfully. PSP's with firmware 4.00 and up more than likely have the new mobo and at this time can not be modded.
You an also see this thread - link.

@ET47
Well then try modding it and see what happens - if it was under 4.00 ofw when you got it then you'll be fine. That or you can try that tool thing to check it in the other thread I linked to.

@madvdtrix
Not a problem

if it only had some pictures, then i could understand it better.
also, it says that i need a pandora battery and i read that a pandera battery isnt like a normal one and i need to buy another battery, and formatting the memory stick erases everything in it, so how do side step this? all i have to do is save a back-up of my whole PSP rite? so then if i mess up then i can just use the back-up rite?

Google for another guide on identifying the 3000 mobo - youtube may even have video on a how to - they have everything else.

Yes you will need another battery - buy the datel battery. Making an mms will wipe the memory stick so if you have anything on there you want to save then just copy it to your pc first - very easy and really doesn't take that long.

Ok re-read the guide about the battery - you can not make a datel tool battery you need to buy one. This battery does the same thing as hardmodding the psp battery which by the way you might not be able to convert back to use as a regular battery. I highly recommend buying a datel tool battery.
The hardmodded or datel tool battery puts the psp in service mode which allows the mms to do it's thing. These batteries can not be used for normal use - i.e used to power the psp.

As for what's on the memory stick well if you saved any music, video etc on it and don't have a copy of them on your pc then save them first. That and maybe any games saves which are under psp>save data.

Thanks for the guide Larry - looked long and hard and this was the best I found by far.

Followed the instructions and am now at 3.71 M33-2 with no problems.

However I seem to be having problems upgrading to anything higher.

When I run the MUX 2.0 app, I get the menu screen with all the updates. I choose 5.00 M33 (or 4.01 M33) at which point the LED starts flashing but then nothing else happens. The LED carries on flashing and I've left it going for 15 mins but in the end I've given up and power reset the PSP. When I then go into the Game menu on the memory stick there is a corrupted data file of 4kb with the right creation time and date for when I started the Mux 2.0.

I presume that it shouldn't take longer than 15 mins? What should I try next? The card is the same one that successfully installed the 3.71 CFW so it should be OK shouldn't it?

I suppose I could format it and try again but it's the only stick I have and I did want to leave it as a Magic Memory Stick just in case I had to unbrick the PSP for whatever reason.

Any ideas much appreciated.

No. The datel is only made to get your PsP into service mode. You will need to buy a new battery.
