dont worry i discovered it has to be in a folder labeled update and the pbp on your ms root. i already had gen-d update folder on my pc from previous updates and the folder was extracted to it which is why i got bamboozled because i couldnt find the missing folder.

disable the plugins through recovery console and try again there another option under configuration enabling to boot from long string of text UPDATE folder make sure that enabled or it will not update

May I start by saying Merry Christmas to you and all the staffs here.
It was 2 years ago when I last posted. Very nervous in the begining and very happy after managing to hack my PSP phat. Thanks again for help.
I am currently on 4.01 M33-2 and would like to upgrade to GEN-D3 but not quite sure how. I am not even sure how to get to 5.00 M33 let alone GEN-D3.
I had read your above post that you upgraded normally after 3.71 M33. Could you shed some light on how to do it? If you don't mind.
Thanks a lot.
Cheers

the post on here has been deleted not before i backed it up to word document i will email it to anyone requesting it, i went 3.71m33 to 5.00m33 then 5.00m33-6 and each gen step by step skipping gen-c as it is infamous for bricking psp's

Thanks for replying Mickoz.
After more hard reading and more observant, I have reach 5.00 M33-6.
From the above thread, it seems that Gen-D2 is a lot more stable than D3. I think thats where I will reach and stay.
Thanks again mate.
Cheers.

Im on GEN-B (Full), I was trying to run remotejoy, but didn't work... anyways I have 2 questions before updating, would getting all the way to D2 make it incompatible with other plugins?, am I losing anything? and secondly, Would updating make remotejoy work?, or would I need a totally different approach? thanks in advice

I am on 5.00 M33-6. I tried to play a game that requires 5.50GEN-D3 or 5.03GEN-C. I did some research and I ended up on this forum. The discussion here only talks about how to do the upgrade, but my question is very general.
1. Of 5.50GEN-D3 and 5.03GEN-C, which one is better?
2. Does either upgrade allow me to play more games than 5.00 M33-6?
3. Do you recommend upgrading? What's the trade off?
If anybody can help me out this, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if you haven't already downloaded the file 550.pbp do so now and copy and paste it to the root of your memory stick, thats it.
