All Green/Pass on abgx360, but wont play on 360!

Hi guys, was originally having problems with even getting a game to succesfully go through abgx after burning, but after changing media to Verbatim, I am now clearing abgx fully.. all green and ok! But when I put game in 360, am faced with the most painful sight, and words in the world. "Play DVD"
- NO! Three-Sixy.. NO! I don't want to play DVD I want to play GAME, so I keep getting a big 360 logo, and just the DVD controls when I try play these games.. Any Idea what's happening or what to do? As I say, ABGX is saying the burn is fine.. bloody things.

more than likely you are trying to play a new game that is wave 3 and you are running firmware that is 1.5 or below. update to 1.6 is you have anything other than hitachi, if you have a hitachi then update to 1.51

I would not even know where to begin with doing that update my self, and if that's the case I will try to learn.
But, the game's I am trying to back up, are Wave 3 yes. But my 360 can already play numerous wave 3 titles, such as Fight night 4, UFC etc.

well if you can play wave three games then you have a bad rip or crap burn. since the FW isnt an issue.

IMGBURN USE MY SETTINGS .
IN THE TOOL TAB
SELECT SETTINGS THEN WRITE TAB
IN THERE SELECT THESE
WRITE MODE DVD
WRITE TYPE DAO/SAO
LINK AUTO
ON LAYER BREAK SELECT USER SPEC TYPE 1913760
THEN CLICK OK
AND ALWAYS BURN AT 2X SPEED MORE SABLE AT THAT SPEED THEN 2.4

lay off the all caps. also specifying the layerbreak wont do crap if he is selecting the .dvd like he is suppose to since this will tell imageburn what to use. and even if it was wrong, agbx would have fixed it when he scanned the games.

Surely if it was a bad rip/burn it would shop up in the AGBX either in the ISO or DVD check?
I have just put the DVD in my hard drive again and explored it, it's showing 3 folders VIDEO_Ts AUDIO_TS and System update, is this what all back ups look like? This to me looks like the DVD of a Movie-DVD..
God i'm getting annoyed now lol.

I followed the tutorial from the sticky on this site to the letter (obviously, I have a new version than the one from the tutorial, but it's all the same?)

sorry didnt relise i had caps on lol .. i never use the dvd file as i like the settings and always work abgx360 sofware is never always right for me xbc 2.8 always checks my rips and downloads

xbc 2.8 wasnt updated for wave 3, so it really isnt checking what it needs to be.

run your game through agbx first. make sure you are using the newest version of image burn, umm, use verbs, burn at 2.4 or 4x. thats about all i can think of right now.

Probably hitachi. If it is you may need to perform the pot callibration.

Regardless of what drive I have in my 360, I ALREADY play backed up 360 games, it's just the burning them from my P.C is just not working.
Latest Info:
Burning fine on PC. Iso is 100% fine and checked from a PERFECTLY set up ABGX3, evening checking the burned DVD after abgx is saying that the game has been burned 100% fine. I am using verbatims, so why will they still not work on my 360? Come On you experts lol! Prove your wisdom to me!

Just a thought HighTow3R, you say you've previously played Wave 3 titles. Were these back up wave 3 titles or originals? When did you get your XBOX modded?
@chris4160 In my experience with Hitachis that need the POT Calibration doing is that they give the open tray error.

You said the burn is 100% fine, you are using verbatims, you can play some wave 3 games so it isn't the firmware, so what does that leave you with that could possibly be having a problem?
The XBOX 360 drive(laser) can be picky about what games will and will not play. The reason we asked what drive you had is because Hitachi drives are notorious for this problem.

My 360 currently play's both original, and backed up Wave 3 games.
These backed up games have not been made on my PC.
I have agbx configured 100% to the tutuorial on here, I am using the settings said to use on IMGBURN, I am using verbatim DVD+R DL. I have recently fully updated my burner's firmware (NEC 3520a IDE connection not SATA)
I don't know the date my 360 was modded, but I have a range of games between very recent releases and 2 year old titles, and all play fine so I doubt that my drive having an outdated mod is the issue, also I have tried burning my self both wave 3 and non-wave 3 titles to see if this is the problem.

HighTow3R, you keep avoiding the question of "Is it a Hitachi drive in your 360?"
You seem so gung-ho to dismiss that the drive could have a problem because it reads some Wave 3 titles. What type of drive is in your 360?
I have a Lite-On and a BenQ. My daughter has a Hitachi. You'd be surprised at how finicky the Hitachi can be. I have a few Wave3s that won't play on her Hitachi, but play fine on my BenQ & Lite-On. But some Wave3s play perfectly on her Hitachi. So once again HighTow3R, do you have a Hitachi drive in your 360?
If the ISOs and burned discs as you say, both check out fine, the problem must lie in the drive inside of the Xbox 360.
By the way, I'm not sure if I asked you this or not, but do you have a Hitachi drive in your 360?
