You flashed no drive key or the wrong drive key to the drive.

uh it's kinda hard to "remember" the drive key.
You did save it as a file correct?

No problem. Yes, flash it again. This time being careful to enter the drive key. Use the 'flash key sector' method of flashing in the Hitachi tab of JF for safest/fastest way.

Wow, you guys sure are jumpy. There is more than one reason for the games to show up as DVDs. First of all, do you have an original game you can test with the drive? If that shows up as a DVD too, you have flashed it wrong.
If the game is playable, you burn wrong. In that case I think you didn't set the layerbreak. Could also be bad media.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Jumpy? As far as I know, a badly burned game or bad media will never cause a game to be detected as a DVD. It will not detect a disc at all in that case.
This is the classic drive key symptom.

Just FYI, you risk bricking it more by reflashing to stock than you do by flashing just the key sector like I advised.

Dump the drive and check if the key is right in the dump. That will tell you for sure.

Are you running the games through ABGX on level 3 autofix and burning with ImgBurn on Verbatim media at at least 2.4x?

Yeah he said he's burning with ImgBurn. But he hasn't stated what media he's using. That could be the problem. Mayby he's using Adjectives when he should be using Verbs.

Wrong. If you burn a game without layer break settings and just burn the .iso as a standard image file the disk is also detected as a DVD.

How do you burn? What media? Do you use the .dvd file or do you manually set the layerbreak? What speed do you burn at?
Worst case could be your drive's laser going bad.

Still the only question left is: What brand of media do you use?
By the way, when you use the .dvd file you don't have to set the layerbreak manually, the .dvd file contains that.

Yay, standart error again. Simply burn faster. 6x to 8x should do the trick.
Oh, and next time get better media. All media with Ritek media code is crap. I'd suggest Verbatim.
