no crysis 2 forces you to update to the 2.0.12625 dash as it is a wave 11 game. This adds AP2.5 protection to Black Ops, Halo Reach and Modern Warfare 2. If needed team xecuter will post patches for it if needed

I can pretty much guarantee it will get an update that pushes AP 2.5, at that point just rip, patch and re burn.

how am i playing it then? i have a hitach 0078fk, made july2006, and am playing black ops this second. i thought the games had to be pressed with ap2.5 data, such as fable 3, sims3, Assasins Creed: Brotherhood,NFS:Hp, and whatever else i missed. Is this newer versions of black ops or something?or am i just lucky or something? im definatly not putting in fable 3 to test ur theory though

to tell you the truth i have, but may i ask a question,im getting ready to mod a virgin 360 this week i haven't been on the forums for at least 6 months if i burn crysis 2 right now and then microsoft adds AP2.5 to the game in the future and i still keep playing that copy without AP2.5 would that still make it unsafe to play?

yes, that would be completely unsafe to play,
if you did that, you would have 4 options
1: reburn the game, after checking it with ABGX360 again.
2: Don't update your console to the latest Dashboard.
3: Don't play the game again, if you've beaten it, who cares
4: play the game, see if you get banned. (I HIGHLY RECOMEND YOU DO NOT DO THIS!)
oh, and i can tell you what i do, when a new game comes out, i have a whole backlog of games i havent played, so i just wait a few months to download and burn them, that way if there will be an AP2.5 patch for a game, ABGX360 will have it in it's database
but i just burned Lego Star Wars III, i should have waited.

It can and like others have previously said it more than likely will. If they decided to enable ap2.5 for MW2 then dont see why they wont do the same with this one.

ok Here's the deal why some consoles can still play Black Ops despite latest July 2011: 13599 kernel .
Certain older consoles from 2005-2007 came equipped with either a Samsung MS25/28 or Hitachi drive (any version up to 79FL is good).
MS is unable to screen AP2.5 checks thru such an OSIG'd console. They can not remotely acitvate these new stealth checks since they can not re-flash first these older console's DVD firmware.
FYI, the term OSIG means "Orignal Signature"
As such, moving formward into 2012, all future games should play without being patched even when played with older firmwares from that era.
Now, the smart tester is looking for Xenons or Zephyrs and hopefully equipped with an OEM: Samsung MS28.
That is the best type of console to own since its drive already has LT v1.9 firmware support available, which is proving immune to BOTH the current ban hammers and any future AP2.5 checks.
Those older consoles are going to soar in value in the next 2 years, especially the ones that still work and were well maintained.
I suspect that MS does not consider them a major threat anymore since very few are left that work. FYI: nearly 75% of them over heated and eventually RROD (especially the Xenons). But they are easily fixed and can work again, if done by a professional with a good skill at BGA reflow work.
I reflow my Zephyr Hitachi 79FL once a year to keep the RROD away and now its a priceless machine.
Anyway, that's the hardware loop and secret to testing into the near future IMHO.

And what does this have to do with Crysis 2?

Because Crysis 2 like all major titles moving forward will eventually support AP25 checks; its inevetible, (all titles will) and newer releases will also use the newer XG3D format to expand the size limitations that current DVD-DL media is subject to.
When that event occurs later this fall, it is anticipate that only the mentioned OSIG drives from 2005-2006 will work in such an environment.
These old RROD consoles are going to prove to be almost as vauable as a JTAG'd console into the next 2 years; this is EXACTLY why I started hording them a year ago when I learned about AP25.
more bad news today:
It looks like C4Eva got swammped with that 13599 kernel last week and these AP25 checks are proving quite time consuming and ellusive for him; major changes to the firmware is now required since he is now aknowledging that latest LT v1.9+ is not going the job done in the near term. The best you can expect now is banning immunity.
A bit off the track, but I hope this helps those new testers to wisely make their next purchase for a console hardware, otherwise you will have trouble playing Crisis 2 into the future.
