I desoldered one of these from a old PC motherboard,




I then soldered the single pins from the USB pin header to here on the XBOX motherboard (circled in red)




I then used a few of these to attach to LTP wiring.




I managed to get my JTAG done in half the time by doing it this way, its soooo much easier soldering on solid pins that wire!

Plus I got no errors reading or writing, files were identical first time :D

to be honest, i dont feel that soldering the wires is that hard. especially after you solder the end of the wires before trying to solder to the board. once that is done, its basically a hard piece of metal and does the exact same thing as these pins.

I just slid off the plastic part with a pen knife, then heated up the top of the pin and pulled it off with pliers. I didnt have to pull hard, just needed to give each pin about 10 seconds heat on a 30w iron

After I removed the 7 pins I needed from the old PC motherboard, I simply held the pin with my pliers, heated it up and it went through he xbox point like a hot knife through cheese. I then put a tiny bit of solder at the bottom of the pin on the other side (bottom) of the board
