Ok, I know that there are plenty of forums on playing xbox live games early. But all have some people saying its ok, and others saying why take the risk, others say play offline, play offline on memory card. Well first off what is the best way to play, second I have read online about some people that bought the game offline and have already got it in the mail, and play it online? Like they said that they got it early played online and all it gave them was a message about playing early. So any help would be great, as I kinda wana show off that i got the game early XD.

If you bought the retail game, why not get online? I don't know how people buy games and receive games early though. If you acquired it by other ways, I would probably wait. It is hard to tell. People download games and then play them early and haven't had any problems... yet.

don't just unplug the cord...take the hard drive off or sign out of your profile....any achievement you get will time stamp it and upload it to xbox live with he date and time you did it.....and if the date and time you got the achievement is before the release date then well....you know what may happen.

BUT i do know people who get games week or two weeks early....there is a mom and pop place who doesn't give a damn for release dates....the day they get the games they sell them. so technically its legal on our behalf. I guess thats how some games get played early other than downloading and playing.

So if set my XBOX 360 time clock back to 1999, Microsoft thinks I would have played the game 10 years ago? Doesn't make much since.

Personally I never take the risk of running pre-release games if I know well enough. One time I downloaded a game before it's street date and played it unwittingly, but I try to avoid that. It's just too dangerous since you can't truly verify where the game came from and what exactly it is. What happens quite often is that "bad" copies of games are released, be they bad rips, bad files, review copy instead of retail copy, etc. These make you targets of bans. If you wait until ABGX has a legit retail rip of it, they will confirm its safety for you.

However, if I were going to break street date on a game, what I would do is definitely at least do like Brian said and remove your HD and ethernet cable. However, the downsides to this are that it isn't fullproof (we don't actually know how MS flags bad games, maybe it has nothing to do with HD and the info is stored on the motherboard, which is likely), and also that you can't save your game for later or get epeen points, obviously.

Iplayed it early and am NOT scared, Personally, the game SUCKS, yes I dont like it, having to bust Mortal combat combos to adjust my defense . They should have left teh game alone from last years, last y ears was the best ever.
Back on topic, depending which rel you grabed, I recal being 3 releases, so if u downloaded or not, be mindfull where your getting the game from, if its legit game then no u cant be penalized.

Unless you know the person who personally ripped the game in some way, how can you know that it was a legit release, though? Therefore, how are you so sure that you are safe?

Run it through ABGX, it will tell you, otherwise save the iso to your pc, let ABGX fix it for you.

The point is that ABGX can't verify that a rip of an otherwise unknown game is legit, so any time you play a game early, you put yourself at risk.

Uh, you are wrong 100%. As long as are not connected to Live, it will not time stamp your achievements. I've done this many times and it will just say 'aquired' with no date.

And it turns out that the early release of Madden 10 was indeed NOT a legit retail copy and has been nuked by ABGX. You guys are screwed when the next ban wave comes.

It don't work like that. If you want to try to scare people, you could also say that anyone use got the bad database file from ABGX for Red Faction and UFC will also be banned but you simply have no evidence that they will in fact get banned for this. Nice try.

It does work just like that. You play bad rips, you get banned...

That's why pre-releases are so dangerous.

Well ABGX says it's non-retail, so...
