i would imagine that the only issue upgrading from 120gb -> 250gb would be transfer time...it took almost 2 hours for me to go from 20gb -> 120gb...i would bet it's gonna be a hell of a lot of downtime, lol

I've made a torrent and uploaded the torrent file on megaupload. Didn't fancy waiting for days for it to upload to megaupload and also don't really want to upload it to a public torrent site like isohunt and such, but this way I can seed it for as long as people want! ^o^ Here's the link:

Sorry to tell you guys, but I didn't realise that the transfer disks have region coding on them! >.< What the hell is the point in that!? This one is a PAL iso, but feel free to download if you want. Hope this helps some people! ^o^

omg, I hope this works, PAL! WTF! nothing against you but dang! It's worth a shot to find out if this work, either way it doesn't thank you for helping me/us out. I'm currently gonna attempt to transfer my 20gb hd to my 120gb, I'm not gonna go to sleep till it's done!
Wish me luck, I'll you guys know what I turn up with, I believe I have an ntsc box, but I'll see what happens.

Anyone who needs a NTSC disc, send me a PM. I'll give you the d/l links. There's also a PAL disc (20->120GB) already uploaded, but this one can't be used to transfer from a 120GB HDD to 250GB HDD.

OKay, I just dloaded and burned the NTSC Transfer Disc iso and put it into my 360 and now my 360 says to "To Play this disc put it in your Xbox 360 Console"? followed by other translations of the same thing it's saying in english. It looks like it's playing it as a dvd, I don't get what went wrong? I used imgburn (latest ver) to burn this iso. Was there any other software anyone recommend for burning dvds for the 360? The disc format I used was a DVD+R DL Verbatim (2.4x speed). So what went wrong here, and has anyone successfully loaded one of these disc in their 360. also My box is not modded in any way what so ever and I'm trying to transfer my 20gb to the elite 120gb.

Oh, hmm. No, there is no other way but getting a legit transfer kit from M$ or Ebay (you can order a kit for free from M$ when you own a 20gb hdd and bought a new elite xbox or a new 120gb hdd).

actually, even if you buy a new 120gb hdd, you don't automatically get the transfer cable/disc. you need to make sure that it comes with the cable + cd or else you'll end up with real headaches from microshit, because they won't sell you just one or the other. (i've got this problem, but my cable + cd should be here tomorrow finally)

i can tell you right now that you'll go through a LOT of bullshit trying to get that free kit, and even more if you just want the cd. it's not worth dealing with M$ anymore...it's just excuse after excuse and then they'll pretty much tell you to go *bleep* yourself.

Maybe if I want my new xbox to be registered by M$ I'll call them up once more and try to get a kit one last time. But for now I'll just try to find it on the net which seems to be less trouble.

PLEASE HELP I need to download the Xbox 360 transfer disk I have searched and I find the 5MB download which is BS I know I need the 7G ISO. I have found 3 torrents but with no seeds and invaild rapid share Dls. I know how to burn ISO's as I have already burned about 100 games. I have 1.61 Firmware on my one Drive and the 1.6 Firmware on the other. If someone will help me obtain the correct NTCS or PAL (if the pal works) Please give me your email address as I will PAYPAL U money for the trouble PLEASE I sick to death of serching

Are you in a PAL region or NTSC region, because for some unknown reason, these disks are region locked, so you'll require one for your respective region.

I have a NTCS American xbox 360 i think the pal disk might work as my xbox is modded but maybe not i wish i could find the ntsc version but i geuss i would settle for Pal

PAL doesn't work on your console, it's not region free and a mod doesn't circumvent the region restriction.

i'm seeding the xbox transfer disc parts. i'm not exactly sure how to get the info out as to where you can find it, but i'll put it up on frostwire. i know im seeding it somehow on bittorrent, but don't know how to express a link to start downloading.
it's officially up on frostwire as Xbox HDD Transfer Disk. there's 7 parts (1-6 = 1GB, 7 = 500mb).
if you do a search for .rar files only, that should help weed out viruses.

Just a note: You also need to have a modded Xbox that can read burned discs. Otherwise the image won't work.
