YEP!
figured maybe rreceiving ..."+Error Custom IOS 222 could not be loaded! (-4 100)means that Hermes IOS 222/223 needs to be reinstalled
however this message IOs version 00F9000E prevents that from happening. Firmware is 4.2..Should user agreement be accepted so that WIIConnect24 can be turned off..not to sure if Nintendo can tap into system if it is.

Try using AnyTitleDeleter and delete IOS222 and IOS223. Then try reinstalling Hermes. No Nintendo isn't taping into your system and preventing you from doing it.
make sure you have WiFi connected.
If that still doesn't work then go HERE and follow that guide.
Next time someone has issues with part of the softmod (like hermes) please ask it in the softmod guide not in the USB loader guide.

IOS222 and IOS223 are not even a choice within AnyTitleDeleter for some reason. What I was trying to say is that;
a) If WIIConnect24 is always on can Nintendo tap in and look into softmods off of hardrive, not if they are preventing the install.
b) The original problem came from USB Loader, I just thought maybe
reinstalling Hermes will help and found an issue there. I will howver move my question to the right thread...Thanks!

Quick question. I have a 250 Gb Fat32 HD with backup photos, music on it.
Do I have to format this? Or can I just create the necessary folders on root?

if you HDD is already formated as a FAT32 you can try it before formatting it. You can also try creating a folder for all those backups.

ok thanks, I'll give it a go.
One more question, if you use usb loader to rip the game from the wii to your usb HD for backup purposes, isnt it possible it wont fit due to the fat32 format (max file size of 4Gigs)?

As long as the file system is FAT32 it should work.
As for file size limits read past post for your answer. I have already answered this question numerous times.

So what are the pros of having an FAT32 file system or NTSF file system as opposed to the WSMB file system. I saw that you could add covers for the games on the FAT32 and you couldn't copy orginal games to the NTSF.

Sad that it took me 4/5 hours to figure out that the wii's cd drive had a diff chipset that will not allow playing of burnt games. :-(

@milkchoca
Can you please edit your above post and take out the quote section of the hole guide. That isn't necessary to do and all it is doing is wasting space in the forum.

Tou will need to do a search for it.
But why would you want it in WAD format?

When updating the loader make sure your choosing the FAT32 update not the non-fat32 update (they are labeld).
It is also pointless to install it as a channel. Just install the forwarder and add the USB Loader files to the USB Device (like the guide says).

Hey Larry
Do you sometimes notice that some games when playing on cfg loader are a little fuzzy or seem like they have some static on the screen? I know its not a pal or ntsc thing as I forced them both on various games. If I sit back far enough from the TV you cant even notice it. Just wondering if there is a flaw in the usb loaders? I have a component cable connected to a 42" HD TV so it should be quite clear at 420p
any answers would be appreciated

Anyone else seeing this? If so, was there anything you could do to resolve it? I have been using it successfully for a week or two now, and I see the above when I first run the USB loader after the Wii has been powered on. The loader then works on the first attempt every time until I turn the power off and back on.
It's not really an issue other than annoyance, but I'm a prefectionist and would like to getting it working correctly. I'm also thinking I mat load priiloader, and I'm wondering/worried this may be a problem once priiloader is installed.
