NOTE: These animations were produced by painting, drawing
and scratching images onto film. If you are enthusiastic
toward pure abstract art...you'll love this work !! It's like
watching abstract painting in motion with music. I created
several 10 minute shorts, using this same method, in 1967
while attending the university back in Illinois. I loved
using spray painted colors on sections of my film. It looked
like colored rain on a sheet of glass as the film moved
through the projector. This 24 minute work by Barbel Neubauer
brings back a lot of fond memories.

in Windows Media Player
( you can choose video selection for Macintosh or Windows ).
NOTE: This is one slice of white bread spinning in place
with background constantly changing like a strobe light.
This work reminds me of POP artist Jasper Johns. He created
an innovative limited edition print with slice of white bread
( painted in oil by hand ) that was in relief on a sheet of lead.
It's a 1969 limited edition of 60 ( signed & numbered ).
I feel this is one of his classic POP art prints. If you ever
get to see one in a museum it will blow your mind !!
